Stallholder Information

  • Eligibility Criteria

The Bondi Farmers Market is dedicated to food and fresh seasonal produce. The people who sell it are the producers who grow or make it.

Primary Produce must be grown or farmed by the Stallholder.

Value Added Products must be produced by the Stallholder.

Re-selling of any product is restricted and subject to further criteria available on request.

The individual selling produce at the stall must have a good knowledge of production methods, where it is grown, storage & cooking instructions, etc.

 

  • Location

The Market is located across the road from the beach at Bondi Beach Public School, Campbell Parade, Bondi Beach.

 

  • Trading Days & Times

Every Saturday. Trading from 9 am – 1 pm. Set up from 8 am.

Stallholders do not need to attend every week. A monthly roster has been set up to include once a month Stallholders.

 

  • Stall Fees

Standard Stall

3 metre X 3 metre stall: $110.00

Powered stall – extra $10 for 10amp, extra $20 for 15amp (high power users will be quoted special rates on application)

Not for Profit Organisations: No charge

Special category product / exclusive supplier status: Fees available on request

Larger size stalls: Fees available on request

 

  • Equipment

Marquees: 

All stallholders are required to trade out of a 3x3 metre WHITE marquee with a plain white roof.

Hiring Marquees: Casual stallholders may hire marquees (sandbag weights included) from the market for $10/week by notifying the office prior to the market day.

Bring your own: You are welcome to bring your own marquee if it meets the above requirements and is in good condition. Due to our storage restrictions, Regular (weekly) stallholders will have to supply their own marquees. All stallholders who bring their own marquee will also need to bring sandbag weights.

Most stalls may trade from 3 sides of the marquee

 Tables:      

Trestle tables are available to stallholders at no charge.

Each table measures 1.86m X 1.07m (6’ X 3’6”).

Please note: Our tables are different to the usual 2.4m X 0.75m tables you may usually utilise. Alternatively, you may bring your own table.

 

  • What additional equipment should I bring?

Chairs, display equipment, table covers.

 

  • Public Liability Insurance

All Hot Food stallholders must have in place their own public and product liability policy providing a minimum of $10 million cover.

All other stallholders must have in place a public liability policy providing a minimum of $5 million cover.

 

  • Access to Power

Power is available at the Market and is subject to an extra charge ($10 for 10amp & $20 for 15amp). Please contact our office to confirm your requirements.

 

  • Stall Allocations

Stall locations will be allocated prior to Market day and forwarded to you

 

  • Payment of Stall Fees

Bookings are not confirmed until your payment is made. Stall fees must be paid in advance and may be paid online. More information on our payment system will be available shortly.

 

  • Refunds & Credits

Stall fees may be credited to another week only if bookings are cancelled by Tuesday 5.00 pm prior to Market Day. Stall Fees are not refundable.

 

  • Bad Weather Policy

No credits or refunds are issued in the case of bad weather on Market Day. The Market will trade in all weather conditions. Please do not apply for a stall unless you are prepared to take the risk on weather.

 

  • What time do I arrive? - Set up and Pack up times

You may commence set up from 8.00 am. STRICTLY NO EARLIER. Vehicles may enter the Market area and unload directly into their stall area. Your vehicle is permitted to unload at your stall for a maximum of 20 minutes. After which time you may drive it to the parking area within the Market grounds.

A Guide on Where to Go & What to Do on arrival will be forwarded to stallholders prior to Market Day.

 

  • Where do I Park?

Stallholder parking is available on site at the Market at no extra charge.

 

  • Rubbish & Waste

All rubbish, waste and packaging must be taken away with the stallholder. Bins provided do NOT cater for stallholder rubbish. The stall site must be left in the condition it was found.

 

  • Occupational Health and Safety Requirements

All Stallholders must comply with all relevant food handling and safety regulations. More information can be found on the Traders page of our website.

 

  • Responsible Packaging

Stallholder must supply customers with bags and packaging that are biodegradable.

 

  • What Terms and Conditions apply?

All Stallholders are granted consent to Trade at the Market on the condition that they agree to the terms and conditions of the Market Regulations by completing an Application Form and forwarding the completed Application Form to the Manager online or by post. You must agree to the Market Regulations if you wish to trade at the Markets. These can be found on the Traders page of our website.
